Everything you need to know about Mass Protocol

A gainer designed for bulking periods, combining carbohydrate and protein intake in a single preparation.

For carbohydrates, a base of whole oat and barley flour, supplemented with maltodextrin.

28% protein, mainly from concentrated whey, isolated whey, and micellar casein — proteins contribute to the increase and maintenance of muscle mass.

A ratio of approximately 2g of carbohydrates to 1g of protein, i.e., 22g of protein and nearly 47g of carbohydrates per two servings.

Source of zinc, vitamin D, and vitamin B12.

Benefits

Increase and maintenance of muscle mass

Proteins contribute to the increase and maintenance of muscle mass. Two servings provide 22g of protein, in addition to a daily protein intake built primarily around meals.

Easier to reach daily intake levels

During a bulking phase, it can be difficult to meet target quantities through diet alone. Two servings provide approximately 310 kcal, 22g of protein, and 47g of carbohydrates, in a quick-to-prepare form.

Zinc, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B12

Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function. Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism and the reduction of fatigue.

Features

What is MASS PROTOCOL™?

A gainer is a preparation combining carbohydrates and proteins, intended to supplement daily intake when it is difficult to achieve through diet alone. MASS PROTOCOL™ combines an oat flake and whole barley flour base with a milk protein matrix – concentrated whey, whey isolate, and micellar casein – for 28% protein.

How does it work?

Muscle mass progression requires three conditions: appropriate training, sufficient daily energy intake, and adequate protein intake. MASS PROTOCOL™ addresses the latter two, with a ratio of approximately 2g of carbohydrates to 1g of protein. Proteins are digested into peptides and amino acids, which then become available to the body; whey and micellar casein differ in their digestion speed. Carbohydrates, on the other hand, are converted into glucose, the body's energy substrate.

Who is it for?

For athletes and physically active individuals during a bulking phase whose energy and protein needs exceed what regular meals can provide. The amount consumed should be adjusted according to activity level and the rest of the diet.

Dosage

How to prepare MASS PROTOCOL™?

1 serving = 1 scoop, or approximately 40 g. Mix one scoop in 100 ml of water in a shaker until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. The amount of water can be adjusted according to the desired texture.

How much per day?

2 servings per day, to be taken together or separately. Adjust according to your daily energy and protein needs, and according to the rest of your diet.

When?

After training, or as a snack between meals.

In your routine

MASS PROTOCOL™ in your routine

A gainer does not replace meals: it supplements an intake primarily built around your usual diet, when the latter is no longer sufficient to meet the needs of a mass-gaining period.

After training

One serving can be consumed after your session, for a complete intake of complex carbohydrates and protein.

As a snack

Between two meals, one serving simply supplements your daily intake without requiring any preparation time.

Adjust rather than follow

The quantity should be adjusted according to your activity level, appetite, and what your meals already provide. Two servings on some days, only one on others: it's the average over the week that matters, not the formal regularity of the dosage.

Moving away from the gainer

A mass-gaining phase has an end. When your intake can again be achieved through diet alone, MASS PROTOCOL™ is no longer useful – a simple protein like ELEMENT WHEY™ is then sufficient to supplement meals.

Why this formulation?

Why a cereal base supplemented with maltodextrin?Oat flour and barley form the base; the more soluble maltodextrin makes the preparation drinkable where an all-cereal formula would be too thick and floury.

Why 28% protein and a ratio close to 2:1?Many gainers go below 15% protein. MASS PROTOCOL™ maintains a significant protein intake per serving.

Why three milk proteins? So that the intake is based on identified dairy sources, and not on cheap proteins added to artificially inflate the stated percentage.

Why zinc, vitamin D and B12?Three micronutrients dosed between 20 and 30% of NRVs per serving, with recognized nutritional roles in muscle function and energy metabolism.
