What is MELOTIME®?

MELOTIME® is a melatonin supplement containing 1.9 mg per capsule. Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body: its secretion follows a daily rhythm and increases at the end of the day. Melotime® is a sustained-release form of melatonin developed by Nutriventia laboratories.

How does it work?

Melatonin helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. This beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime.

An immediate-release melatonin is absorbed quickly, then eliminated in about an hour: the blood concentration forms a sharp peak that quickly drops. Melotime® follows a different profile. A first fraction of melatonin is released shortly after intake, the rest being gradually delivered over several hours. The resulting peak is lower and later, and concentrations are maintained longer after intake.

Who is MELOTIME® for?

MELOTIME® is intended for adults who wish to reduce the time it takes to fall asleep, and for those seeking melatonin whose release is not limited to the first hours after intake. The product is for adults only. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for people who need to perform an activity requiring sustained vigilance. In your routine

Take your capsule 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime.This is the dosage window used in the clinical study conducted on the ingredient MELOTIME®.

Aim for regularity rather than precision:the same time from one evening to the next is more important than exact timing. Stable bedtimes and wake-up times, dimmed lights, and limited screen time in the late evening are among the commonly recommended sleep hygiene guidelines — MELOTIME® is part of this framework, it does not replace it.

When traveling,take MELOTIME® just before bedtime on the first day of travel, then for a few days after your arrival, adjusting to the local destination time. Melatonin helps alleviate the effects of jet lag.

Do not take MELOTIME® before an activity that requires alertness: driving, night work, operating machinery.

Science & Reference

Documented sustained release

A randomized, crossover pharmacokinetic study conducted in 16 healthy adults compared Melotime® with immediate-release melatonin, at an identical dose of 5 mg [1]. Melotime® showed a lower and later plasma peak, with an average Tmax of 1.26 h vs 0.87 h, as well as a half-life approximately five times longer: 5.10 h vs 1.01 h [1]. Between 4 and 8 hours after intake, melatonin plasma concentrations also remained higher with the sustained-release form [1]. These data characterize the sustained-release profile of Melotime®. They were obtained at 5 mg, a higher dose than that selected for MELOTIME®.

The Melotime® ingredient has been subject to a controlled clinical trial

A second randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study evaluated 2 mg of Melotime® every evening for 28 days in 62 adults with poor sleep quality [2]. This dose is close to the 1.9 mg per capsule chosen for MELOTIME®. Sleep parameters were measured by polysomnography and subjective sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index [2]. The reported effects on the studied product do not constitute claims relating to MELOTIME®.

Time to fall asleep

Melatonin helps reduce the time it takes to fall asleep. This beneficial effect is obtained by consuming 1 mg of melatonin before bedtime. In the study described above, the change in time to fall asleep after 28 days was −10.28 minutes with Melatonin-SR versus +16.70 minutes with placebo (p = 0.031) [2].

Why this formulation?

Why Melotime®?
For its extended-release profile, documented by a pharmacokinetic study, and for the existence of clinical data on the ingredient. An immediate-release melatonin is absorbed and then eliminated in about an hour: this was not the desired behavior for an evening dose.

Why 1.9 mg?
The regulatory threshold for food supplements is set at 2 mg. This dosage places the formula as close as possible to the 2 mg studied on the ingredient, and above the 1 mg that conditions the claim regarding sleep onset time.

Why melatonin alone?
No plant extract has been added. This combination is common in this market, often at doses too low to genuinely impact the formula.

In mainland France, delivery is free for purchases over €25; below this amount, the cost is €6. The estimated delivery time is 3 to 5 business days.

How do I track my order?

After validation, you will receive an email confirming that your order has been taken into account. Upon shipment, a second email will provide you with tracking information if the chosen delivery method includes it.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Orders are quickly sent to our logistics center for preparation. Please write to us as soon as possible at hello@corgenic.com with your order number: if the order is not yet being prepared, we will do our best to modify or cancel it.

Once the order has been shipped, it can no longer be modified. You then have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of receipt.

How do I return an item or exercise my right of withdrawal?

You have 14 days from receipt of your order to inform us of your decision to withdraw, without having to justify it. Use the withdrawal feature accessible on the website, or write to retour@corgenic.com specifying your order number and the products concerned. Simply returning a product without declaration is not sufficient.

You then have 14 days to return the products to us; direct return costs are at your expense. Reimbursement will be made no later than 14 days after receipt of your return or proof of its dispatch, using the original payment method.

For hygiene and health protection reasons, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised on products unsealed after delivery – please check your order before opening a product you may wish to return. This exclusion does not apply to a defective or non-compliant product.
